Gudjon—pronounced the opposite of Bad-John—Bergmann was born on December 24, 1972, in Reykjavik, Iceland, and spent the early years of his career in the music industry. After he was introduced to yoga in 1996 and turned his life turned around in 1999, he met his wife Jóhanna in 2000, they got married in 2001, had their first child Daníel in 2002, and then their second child Hanna in 2008. In 2010, the entire family moved to Texas. Gudjon became a US citizen in 2013 and was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2017 after studying at All Faiths Seminary International.
In addition to his love for spirituality and human development, Rev. Bergmann enjoys all forms of music, Kung Fu movies, satirical comedy—especially Monty Python and Kurt Vonnegut—hiking, family time, and meaningful conversations about religion, spirituality, and philosophy. He currently lives in Kyle, a small town just south of weird in Texas, where he writes, teaches yoga and meditation, operates Harmony Interfaith Initiative, offers his ministerial services, and makes music.
